I think if you respond to your teen daughter's sullen letter to her friends on Facebook by posting a rant on Youtube which ends in you putting 9 hollowpoint bullets into her laptop (which she paid for) then you have officially lost any moral high ground. Also, parenting classes stat, please.

Ugh, yes. Of course, the way this is being talked about in many places is "finally someone is doing some parenting", with plenty of allusions to "entitled brats" and the like.

If I never again see the word brat, well, that's probably too soon.

Honestly, even if she was one I'd still be condemning dad. He's the adult. He sets the example. If he thinks parenting via pistol is a good idea, then are we really surprised daughter isn't Mary Sunshine?
