Apparently I turn 35 today. My parents forgot- my dad asked why I was calling! {They did send me something which got here yesterday, so they aren't totally terrible parents ;)}There was much apologizing from them as I laughed like a hyena for five minutes.

What five things did you want to do by the time you hit 35, or what did you want to do after it?

Happy birthday! My mother is way too organized to ever forget anyone's birthday, so alas(??) I don't have the same opportunity for hilarity as you. :D

35 is still a ways off for me, but I suppose there are some things I would like to have accomplished by then--I'd like to have gotten my graduate degree, a career, and I'd like my life to have settled into a comfortable routine that I'd be happy to perpetuate for the next 20 or 30 years. I know quite a few people who don't look like they're going to get that by the time they hit 35, and I don't envy them. I am a sucker for stability. :P

Ha, oops. I just realized you asked for 5 and I only gave 3. Having a spouse would be nice too, and traveling the world, though that one's a little dodgier as to its realism.

Boy do I suck at replying promptly. xD

Yeah, I think I probably ought to be more careful about what I wish for. I just want a greater sense of control over my life, which I think a better routine would give me...but there's definitely a point at which routine = lack of control as well.

Maybe we should all just settle for having control more over our lives. :D
